We extend our appreciation to the Narromine Wright Flyer Project Inc. and the aircraft’s builders, the Haydens, for agreeing to the museum display of the replica 1907 Wright Flyer ‘A’. Murray Feddersen, the museum’s inaugural chairman and, more recently, engineering consultant for our extension project, is an old hand at flying aviation dignitaries to and from Narromine in his private aircraft. The museum extension might still be just a dream had it not been for the generosity and foresight of the trustees of Narromine Polo Club, who donated $100,000 to the project. In addition to our display on RAAF prisoner-of-war John Osborne, the museum now has a dedicated display case for Second World War POW memorabilia. It mostly looks at the experience of Narromine-born soldier Frank Smith and his brothers.
